 Jack Ronan Proclaimed

Community Advocate of Berkeley

The Village of Berkeley took a moment to recognize and appreciate the selfless initiative of Berkeley’s own Jack Ronan at the Board Meeting held on Tuesday, July 20, 2010. In honor of his countless efforts on behalf of Berkeley, Michael A. Esposito, Village President, read a Proclamation acknowledging Jack Ronan as the Community Advocate for the Village of Berkeley.

Ronan has been continually committed to improving the community through various maintenance and research projects and continues to assist his fellow residents with outside maintenance and projects throughout the year.

Over the years, Jack Ronan has unselfishly donated his own time to assist the Village Board in choosing the color and type of paint for the Butterfield Road bridge. He also provided much needed research of the streetlight poles and boxes for the Village and continues to maintain the grass on the hill of St. Charles Road, as well as on the I-290 entrance and exit ramps in an effort to keep Berkeley beautiful.

Jack Ronan has persistently been an advocate for environmental issues and causes in the community and is a shining example of what Berkeley’s bright future can become with the hard work and dedication of its residents. Jack will be presented with a plaque in recognition of his dedication to the Village of Berkeley at the Village Board Meeting on Tuesday, August 3rd at 7:30 PM. Residents are welcome to come out and support this true Community Advocate.
