Starting a Business
The Village of Berkeley is a great place to start and grow your business. If you are interested in opening or expanding your business, you are encouraged to meet with the Village Administrator at your earliest convenience. The Village Administrator can usher you through the process of opening your business from answering the simplest question or walking you through completing the TIF application.

There are three main steps nearly every business will need to complete before opening their business which include:
- Obtaining a business license
- Occupancy permit
- Sign permit
